DIABETES FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
   1. What is diabetes?
Diabetes is a disease of the pancreas, an organ located behind your stomach. Normally, the pancreas releases a substance called insulin into the blood, which helps your body use sugars and fats that are broken down from the food we eat.

When you have diabetes the body does not make insulin, or makes only a little insulin. It may also make insulin but this does not work as well as it should.

Diabetes is a lifelong disease which so far has no cure.
