A three-year programme funded by World Diabetes Foundation commenced in 2008.

Project objectives
To provide a strategy for managing diabetic foot in Kenya through provision of education for persons with diabetes and health care professional in prevention and treatment of diabetic foot problems.

Project achievements
 36 clinics established/strengthened, equipped and active in foot screening
 844 health care professionals trained
 25,556 patients screened through medical camps and awareness campaigns
 1835 feet saved through treatment in clinics established/strengthened
