Trainings
Training community healthcare practitioners (CHPs) is a critical step in strengthening the delivery of care for non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. Under the WDF21-1830 project consortium led by the Ministry of Health’s NCD Division, the rollout of competency-based training across the first cohort of counties, including Meru, is equipping healthcare providers with essential knowledge and practical skills. This initiative enhances their ability to detect, manage, and follow up on NCD cases more effectively within their communities. By building capacity at the grassroots level, the training fosters early intervention, improves patient outcomes, and ensures more sustainable and responsive healthcare systems. Continuous professional development and inter-county collaboration remain vital for long-term impact and health system resilience.
